GHIGO OPHELIA

Un restyling che dimostra come con interventi a basso investimento si possa rinverdire un prodotto dalla meccanica funzionale e collaudata. Nel 2018 siamo stati chiamati dalla AV&OC Associati a ideare il restyling della macchina del caffè Ghigo Ophelia.
Il briefing di progetto richiedeva un intervento a zero impatto sulla meccanica poichè ritenuta ottima da un punto di vista funzionale.
 

Lo sviluppo del concept si è orientato su due direzioni una estetica, l'altra ergonomica:

• moderna e accattivante scocca plastica verniciata in massa ritagliata su misura sostituendo quella precedente

• una nuova maniglia in alluminio per l'inserimento delle cialde completamente ridisegnata e dalle dimensioni generose per dimezzare lo sforzo meccanico necessario alla chiusura in pressione del sistema.

A restyling job that demonstrates how it is possible to revive a product with functional and tested mechanical parts with low investment solutions. In 2018 we were called by AV&OC Associati to  create the restyling of the Ghigo Ophelia coffee machine.

The project briefing required a zero impact intervention on the mechanical parts as it was considered excellent from a functional point of view.

 

The development of the concept was oriented in two directions, one aesthetic, the other ergonomic:

 

- attractive modern varnished plastic body, cut to measure, to replace the previous one. 

 

- a new aluminum handle for inserting the coffee pods, completely redesigned, of a generous size in order to to halve the mechanical effort required for the pressure closure of  the system.
